Jeff Byroads Elected President
The Century Club of San
Diego recently announced
the election of Jeffrey H.
Byroads as President and
General Chairman for the
2008 Buick Invitational.
The Century Club has organized and staged the long running PGA TOUR golf tournament in San Diego for the past forty-six years. The 2008 Buick Invitational will be the sixteenth consecutive year we have been pleased to have the Buick Motor Division of General Motors as the title sponsor.
Mr. Byroads was born and raised in Northern California, and came to San Diego in 1974 to attend San Diego State University. Upon graduation in 1978 he began his insurance career working in San Diego for a California based insurance company. However, it was in 1984 when he founded Wateridge Insurance Services, a full service independent insurance agency. Wateridge Insurance Services is currently one of the largest privately owned independent agencies in the San Diego region with 48 employees.
In addition to his participation as an Officer and Director for the Century Club of San Diego, Mr. Byroads is also an involved member of his community. As a proud San Diego State University Alumni, Mr. Byroads is an active member of the Athletic Foundation, life member of the Alumni Association, Founding Member of the Presidents Leadership Fund (PLF), and is an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Alumni Association (local and nationally). Mr. Byroads has also served as Past Director for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of San Diego.
Mr. Byroads is married to Tami and is blessed with three children, Christopher, Scott, and Karlie. In his spare time Mr. Byroads enjoys playing soccer, golf, water-skiing, showing dogs, sailing, softball, traveling and restoring classic 60’s muscle cars.
